About AEVITAS

A practical philosophy of authored conduct.

AEVITAS is a philosophical system and book series developed by M.D. Shafer. It examines how Agency can be protected and practiced amid bodily limits, inherited patterns, social conditions, uncertainty, and consequence.

A maintained structure within a degrading field

01 / What it is

Doctrine joined to use.

AEVITAS joins doctrine to use. Its concepts are meant to sharpen perception, govern conduct, and remain revisable when evidence or conditions change. Its practices are meant to hold under pressure.

02 / Position

A system in conversation with inherited traditions.

AEVITAS draws from virtue ethics, Stoic disciplines of judgment, existential accounts of responsibility, and contemporary accounts of physiology, psychology, and behavior. It is not a restatement of any one tradition. It organizes these inheritances around Agency, the Interval, and five interdependent branches.

03 / Author

M.D. Shafer

M.D. Shafer is the author and developer of AEVITAS. Volume I, Agency Against Entropy, is forthcoming from Anthracite Publishing House.
