Relational integrity

Trust depends on accurate exchange, maintained agreements, repair, and boundaries that preserve consent and respect for the Agency of others.

Power extends the reach of consequence

As influence grows, responsibility expands for the conditions one’s decisions help create. More power = more or wider impact of choices = more responsibility to both the self and others.

Neither isolation nor absorption

Civitas rejects both the idea that obligations are optional and the idea that a person is merely an instrument of the group.

Legacy as residue

The substantive measure of a life is not recognition, but what remains in people, practices, and institutions after direct action ends.
